The enigmatic Naarm (Melbourne) based Glass Beams radiates a psychedelia rendered with cyclical riffs and dizzying melodies. Self recorded in a home studio, ‘Mirage’ is the debut release from the artist, showcasing an inclination for cosmic instrumentation, eastern scales and kraut pervaded polyrhythms, issuing four compositions that lend from a profusion of sounds and influences. Upon release, Glass Beams 'Mirage’ oozed onto the turntables of Gilles Peterson, The Gaslamp Killer, Trevor Jackson, NTS & Rhythm Section DJ’s and featured on BBC6’s ‘Fantastic Beats’ segment. This support culminated in the standout track ‘Taurus’ being included on the Grammy nominated Jayda G’s lauded ‘DJ Kicks’ release, with NME proclaiming Glass Beams as ‘An Essential Emerging Artist’ for 2022.
