FOTOCRIME is the creation of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist R. Forging a connection between the shadows of the underbelly of the mid-century American Dream, the ghostly corners of post-war Europe, and the present moment, FOTOCRIME breathes new life into Cold War paranoia, modern-day malaise and smoky noir. In support of his new album „South of Heaven“, Fotocrime will finally be back in Cologne. South of Heaven is the backlit highway slithering from 2018’s Principle of Pain, which bowed at the altar of post-street punks Blitz while nodding at the megawatt gleam of Depeche Mode and churn of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. The stories comprising South of Heaven are winding and boundless, unfolding with unexpected paths and hairpin turns. Touching the myths of Saturn and Phaethon and mining the lives of Bruno Ganz and Francis Bacon, the album carves a landscape that spans both earthly and astral planes.

BLEAKNESS formed out of a need to express feelings of unease that resulted from witnessing the frustration and desesperation spawned out of an oppresive system. Late 2018, relocating in Lyon, Bleakness finalized the writing of their first full length album. The sound is a perfect combination of the sadness of early 80's post-punk and the anger of nowadays french hardcore punk.
